Pre-Season Event:
Frozen Fiesta

FRC Team 6419 (ICE) is hosting the inaugural pre-season event, FROZEN FIESTA. This event is the first of its kind in Central Iowa and will provide more teams in Iowa with the opportunity to test their robot creations on a full-size competition field as well as participate in other competition-related events with teams around the state. We are excited to share our new facility with everyone. There will also be time for teams to exchange award-related information, led by Dagney Paskach. We will also look to start the conversations for running an off-season event here in central Iowa as well, led by Linna Vo.

Location: Valley Southwoods Freshman High School, 625 S 35th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265

We have also invited FTC State Qualifying teams in the area to a scrimmage in preparation for their state competition the following weekend on the FTC field and are also providing the FLL folks an opportunity to run the robot game another time as they just finished up their state competition as well. If you have team members that would be interested in assisting with these events, please encourage them to come along. We have over 30,000 square feet to share with everyone.

Due to the low availability of Notes for this year’s game, we ask teams to bring any notes for the field. Please write your team number somewhere on the game piece to ensure it is returned by the end of the day.

Robot Inspection

ICE and Neutrino mentors will be “inspecting” the team's robots before any matches to simulate a real life regional and to make sure basic rules are being followed. The main rules that will be looked for are below:

-- Bumpers are all the way around the robot, with a max 0.25 inch gap and anypoint (GM XXX)

-- Robot cannot extend 12 inches from robot perimeter (GM XXX)
